Embrace 3.0 adds an Embrace account. With an account, your family's records are kept together, and you can open them on your iPhone or in any web browser at app.embracehealthapp.com. The people you choose in your family can use the same records on their own phones and computers, and you decide who sees what, person by person and tracker by tracker.
Until now, Embrace kept your records on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Sharing only worked with people on an iPhone or iPad who were signed in to iCloud, one profile at a time. Many families include someone on an Android phone or a computer. An Embrace account lets everyone you choose use the same records on any device, and your records are no longer tied to one phone.
The first time you open Embrace 3.0, it asks what you want to do with the records on your phone. Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to move it.
You sign in with your email address and choose which person on your phone is you. Embrace makes a full download of everything for you to keep, then copies everyone on your phone, with their records and photos, into your account. The copy in your iCloud stays as it was.
Your records stay on your iPhone and in your iCloud. You can look through them and download them as a PDF report or as a full file. Adding and changing records needs an account, so they become read-only. You can move them to an account later from Settings.
If you downloaded Embrace before version 3.0 and you move your records to an Embrace account by December 31, 2026, your family gets lifetime access, as thanks for using Embrace from the start. It covers your whole family, on every device.
There is nothing to sign up for or enter. Embrace checks Apple's record of when you first downloaded the app and adds lifetime access when your move finishes. If you keep your records on your phone for now, you can move them from Settings any time before December 31 and get lifetime access then. If the check does not go through, the last screen of the move has a button to try again.
If you already pay for Embrace through the App Store, lifetime access replaces that. To stop being charged, cancel the subscription on your iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
Move together, in this order. The person who set up the sharing moves first, then invites everyone else from Family and sharing (on iPhone: Settings, then Your account and sync, then Family and sharing; on the web: Family and sharing). Each person then updates Embrace, signs in with the email address they were invited with, and accepts.
Until everyone has moved, your family is working from two copies. What you add in your account does not reach people still on an earlier version, and what they add stays in their iCloud. Moving on the same day keeps that gap short.
A profile another person shared with you through iCloud stays with them. They move their own records to their account and then invite you to their family, where you see what they choose to share.
If you keep using an earlier version of Embrace, it keeps working as it does today, with your records on your phone and in your iCloud. Sharing with family on other devices and new features come with version 3.0 and an Embrace account.
In your Embrace account, your records are stored encrypted, and only you and the people you choose can see them. We never sell your information, show advertising, or use your records for advertising. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
